TIP: Gnome and beamer

The trick that works for me:

TIP 1
Activate dual head in SAX2 (Yast screen setup)
Set the second monitor to 1024*768




TIP 2
1.)Start your PC, without beamer (do not plugin the cable!!)

2.) wait untill X is started and your login screen is displayed
press CTRL-ALT + BACKSPACE (this will restart X)

3.) Wait untill X is displayed again
Now plugin the external plug
