Google Browser Sync opensources
Open Sourcing the Google Browser Sync client was something we'd always planned to do, and we're pleased to say that the code for it is now yours for the taking. Given our recent decision to discontinue support for Browser Sync, we wanted to make sure that the code for it was available for the developer community to use and improve. While we're no longer doing active development, we've released the code in the hopes that those folks who asked for it will use it to develop something cool. For example, it would be great to see the server ported to Google App Engine, or support for Firefox 3 implemented.
You can check out the code using any Subversion client, and we have posted a short tutorial explaining how to build and run it.

Bookmarks sync with Firefox
As described earlier I was looking for a new bookmark synchronization tool for firefox v2 and v3.
I received a dozen of e-mails from reader that suggested Foxmarks as the best solution for my requirements.
I'm using Foxmarks now for about a month on 5 machines and it just works. So If found myself a replacement for the EOL google browser sync (that was never that good).
;-) Do you remember good old Lotus 1-2-3? Mitch Kapor, Foxmark CEO designed Lotus 1-2-3.

Browser sync on openSUSE 11.0
Bummer! - Google Browser Sync will not be available for Firefox 3.0 !
Doing some Google on the subject I found that Google discontinued Google Browser Sync.
Evaluation process of a new solution:
1.) Chipmark - NO - no real bookmark integration - creates chipmarks - don't like it
2.) foxmarks - YES - currently using foxmarks. looks really good
3.) Mozilla Weave - todo

Bookmark sync
Google browser sync for Firefox.
Our team is evaluating the new Google browser sync for Firefox.
In the past we used iFolder to share our bookmarks between our machines.
This looks like a better solution.
