LambdaUX and Imendio just announced the release of the first beta version of their OpenGroupware.org connector for Evolution. It is, of course, not yet feature complete, but this can give a chance for people to have a try and help testing the connector.
OpenGroupware.org is a free groupware server, and this connector fills the gap there was for using a completely free groupware suite along with Evolution on the client side."
