I bought a new system 6 months ago with the idea to run Linux on my desktop and to send Windows back to the abyss it came from...
But the little print in my Asus X1600 XT card informed me that the Linux driver didn't support the TV-out option and it was my intention to use the system as a media PC so I'm still doomed to use Windows forever.
Reading the info here, I'm getting a little hope that the TV-out is now working for ATI cards. Is this a correct interpretation ?

I am still holding out for ATI to support Hardware compositing so I can use the less resource-intensive AIGLX
AIGLX is for children
