My requirements:
- Network printer/scanner with wireless NIC
- Good and easy linux support (active development)
- Scan to PDF (hardware)
- Simple and small Windows software component (dont' like HP)
- Good inkt refill capabilities
- Quality, robustness (paper feed, weight etc)
And the winner is: Brother DCP-585CW
I installed the puppy yesterday and I'm impressed:
- scan to usb stick (pdf)
- build in FTP server (can access usb stick)
- wifi
- Network scan works perfect both from Windows and Linux

I've bought one for at home. It is indeed easy to install and works right out of the box.
Thanks for the research and tips Moosy!
