This stuff rocks
Gmail notify from Google is good, but it is a Win32 agent.
Today I played with the gmail plugin from Doron Rosenberg for Firefox.
cool stuff, your gmail notify build into your browser.

(*restart firefox after install and check the bottom right corner for gmail settings)
Firefox is still on track for a November 9 launch.
