Virtualization commodity

Now XEN is here (shipped with SLES10), virtualization is getting real commodity.

Microsoft announced that Virtual Server will be free and will support Linux (here)
VMWare's entry level was already free.

From a technology perspective, nothing beats the XEN hypervisor. The ability to run unmodified guests (like Windows) is a matter if time. With the new Intel and AMD chips this will be possible.
Companies should now focus on how to manager and provision the virtualized environment.
