Since openSUSE 11.0 has just gone gold, Stefan Dirsch has created NVIDIA RPMs for openSUSE 11.0, so they are now all available via 1-Click-Install. See the wiki page for the link and details (it’s the same YMP for openSUSE 10.3).

NVIDIA Hibernate

Fixed the hibernate on my openSUSE 10.3 / nvidia / compiz box
opensuse nvidia

Added the following line to /etc/X11/xorg.conf
Option "NvAGP" "1"
in the "Device" section, after the line 'Vendor Name "NVidia"'

Added a blacklist line to the modprobe /etc/modprobe.conf.local
blacklist sis_agp

Hibernate when idle:
Also fixed/changed the gnome powermanagement that it the machine hibernates when idle for x minutes.
Need to change this with gconf-editor, see the image below:

gconftool-2 --set --type=string /apps/compiz/general/allscreens/options/run_command_terminal_key " control alt t"

control and alt between <.>

gconftool-2 --set --type=string /apps/compiz/general/allscreens/options/command_terminal "gnome-terminal --geometry=140x40"

Peppie: today we received a confirmation from Dr. Grimm that he is running Compiz Fusion on openSUSE 10.3! Comments from Dr. Grimm:

- One click install is very cool and hip! Used it for Compiz Fusion and it's working flawless.
- Pidgin (2.1.0 does not appear in the notification area.
- Azureus does not start.
- Fusion icon isn't working, had to configure by running the Compiz settings manager.
- Had to use the latest Nvidia driver (1.0-9639)

And now the cool part, 2 sreenshots:
