The new preferences range from new Sound Settings, the ability to turn on/off WiFi Strength, Battery Level, Cloaking, Fake Time, App Reveal and iPod Dock. You also have a few options to change your Home Button shortcut and adjust your Touch settings.

Brainshare Final update from The Priest ;-)

Hi All,

This is my final post before the CRAFT syndrome really kicks in. What the &^$# is CRAFT you might wander? Well let me explain. Alcohol breaks down braincells.........so to explain what CRAFT stands for: Can't Remember A F@cking Thing syndrome. I wanna bet that alot of you BS attendees have this syndrome after the last few days ;-)

This Brainshare has been an event where all nations really came together. I have had fun with friends from the UK, Romania and even South Africa.......you know who you are ;-) People mingeled, drank and danced. My South African friend was the Pool King......RESPECT bro ;-)

I don't have to talk about the sessions because my friends from RealOpen IT have created a super blog with their experiances so please check them out. Although it is in Dutch (I forgive them!) it is very nice. Check them out on: http://brainshare2007.waarbenjij.nu

The MAC stores are empty, my bankaccount depleted....so it is time to head home.

I must say this has been one of the most positive Brainshares EVER! The Partner meeting created an enormous amount of trust. The Leadership team of Novell ROCKS!!!!

P.S. Why does my windows machine go down on me more often then my wife??

The Priest @ Brainshare USA 2007

Hi All,

This is The Priest live from Brainshare 2007. No pictures today because of the sensitive nature of the events ;-)

The Zen team has come up with the name for "Pulsar"; Zen Configuration Management. A very powerfull name which comes with an even more powerfull logo. ZCM will be release in Q2 2007 and later this year it will be able to manage both Windows and Linux desktops.

More can be found:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/98068939@N00/tags/zen/

"If pigs could fly" is the saying that is being used during this conference. The Beast was present during the keynotes and Novell showed its capability to mimic AD and create a trust relationship with a real Active Directory Domain. Unbelievable.....Novell has finally seen the light and is able to fully integrate with Microsoft......and it really works ;-)

We have had a fantastic night with a biker group called: B.A.C.A. ; Bikers Against Child Abuse. Fun, music, beer and women on bikes....what more could a guys wish for. Even one of the dutchies hitched a ride with one of the bikers.......1900 CC pure power and a mini skirt ;-) funny !!!

However I must say these guys really stand for their cause and they all do it voluntarilly. Please visit their website:

This it it for now......will be posting as the week progresses.

Create exact copy of a root partition in Linux (easy)

If you have a same size additional partition in your box you can easily create an exact copy of the source partition. You will need to start in rescue mode 1st to perform the action below.

command:

dd if=/dev/hdaX1 of=/dev/hdaX2 bs=8192

X1 = source partition
X2 = target partition

After which you will need to change the GRUB and the FSTAB to reflect the changes
a) Grub needs a ned entry for the new partition
b) FSTAB needs a change from the X1 drive to the X2 drive
